Certificate of Training in Weight Management

The CDR Certificate of Training in Obesity for Pediatrics and adults Course focuses on foundational concepts in weight management science and evidence-based practice to build knowledge, skills, and competence in pediatric and adult populations. The course was developed to address the evolving competencies of today’s and tomorrow’s weight management RDNs and NDTRs in ways that support the needs of modern learners. It is open to RDNs, NDTRs and the Academy practitioner members (active, student and international).

WM DPG Members can apply for a $1,000 WM DPG Stipend to Attend the Certificate of Training in Weight Management Program each year.  Watch for details via email and on the website.

Interdisciplinary Specialist Certification in Obesity and Weight Management

The Commission on Dietetic Registration offers the Interdisciplinary Specialist Certification in Obesity and Weight Management credential. The credential not only raises the standards in evidence-based practice benefiting clients and supporting CDR’s mission of protecting the public, but it also emphasizes the importance of the healthcare team. Board Certification is granted in recognition of an applicant's documented practice experience and successful completion of an examination in the specialty area.
