If I wanted to become more involved with public policy efforts locally, what are some ways to do this?

• Contact members of your state’s Public Policy Panel- Leadership Directory
• Offer to participate in meetings with stakeholders (example: State Medicaid Directors) to discuss the importance of providing nutrition services to the population you service. Your state Public Policy Panel can share resources and education materials to support your efforts.

Does the Academy provide information about working with private payer insurance companies? I only hear about initiatives with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
