This session provides an in-depth overview of the Bright Bodies program, an evidence-based Intensive Health Behavioral Lifestyle Treatment (IHBLT) model designed to address pediatric obesity through interdisciplinary care. We’ll review clinical outcomes and recommendations by both the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) that Intensive Health Behavior and Lifestyle Treatment (IHBLT) programs are offered to all children aged 6 and older who have overweight or obesity. Participants will explore the program’s structure, curriculum, and the collaborative approach of integrating nutrition, physical activity, behavioral modification, and caregiver support. The presentation will review program growth since implementation 2022, referral pathways, upcoming sessions for 2026, and hear experiences from participating families.
