Melissa Page, MS, RDN, CSOWM, LDN (Past-Chair) is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Specialist in Obesity Weight Management who has worked in weight management for over 10 years in Portland, ME and Boston. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s in Dietetics from Indiana University. She has been an active member of the Weight Management DPG executive committee for 8 years. Melissa also co-owns a small craft brewery with her husband and loves cooking and traveling.

Cicely Thomas, DCN, M.Ed., RDN, LD (IDEA Liaison) Cicely Thomas DCN, M.Ed., RDN, LD. FAND is the WIC director of Northwest Georgia Health District. She is the Vice President of the Georgia Public Health Association. Dr. Thomas served as the 2023-2024 President - for the Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Public Health Community Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group. Dr. Thomas is the owner of Challenge Your Choices Dietetics LLC. She is a mother of 4 and her desire to serve and advocate for under-represented populations remains to be the foundation of her love for public health and community nutrition.


Maggie Huey, RD, LD, (Pediatric Subunit Chair) is a clinical dietitian at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Maggie completed the Cincinnati Didactic Program in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship at the University of Cincinnati in 2018. She is currently working to receive her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Cincinnati. Maggie has been a volunteer with WM DPG during the past year and recently stepped into a leadership role. She serves on her local Greater Cincinnati Dietetic Association as the current Membership Chair and President Elect. When away from school and work, Maggie enjoys hiking with her fur kids, Phoebe and Cooper, and completing home renovations.
Georgia Giannopoulos, MS, RD, NBC-HWC, CSOWM, CDN, SHRM-CP (Coaching & Wellness Subunit Chair) Georgia is an award-winning dietitian with over fifteen years of experience working in nutrition, health, and wellbeing at a top-ranked teaching hospital. She is a proud first-generation college graduate who holds a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Research from Cornell University and a Master of Science from New York University. Georgia completed the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Dietetic Internship Program and the Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach Training Program.

hollie-raynor-square_2019-2020-leadership-photos-250x250.png Hollie Raynor, PhD, RD, LDN (Academy Alliance Representative) Hollie Raynor is a Professor in Nutrition and Executive Associate Dean of Research and Operations in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences at the University of Tennessee. She conducts research in lifestyle interventions for pediatric and adult obesity care and has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles. She served as a member of the Academy’s Prediabetes and Adult Obesity Treatment Evidence Analysis Library Committee. She is a member of the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee.

Morgan Dickison, MS, RDN, CSOWM, CDN (Assistant Networks Director) is a Registered Dietitian and Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management. Since 2017, Morgan has counseled at Weill Cornell Medicine’s Comprehensive Weight Control Center, closely collaborating and coordinating patient care with Dr. Aronne and a team of ABOM certified physicians. Also, Morgan plays a pivotal role at Intellihealth, where she leads a team of dietitians who provide virtual nutrition counseling as part of a comprehensive approach to obesity management.

 Tina Alexander, RDN, LDN, CDCES (Nominating Committee Director-Elect) Tina has worked as a dietitian for over a decade. She is passionate about integrating nutrition, activity, adequate sleep, proper hydration and stress management to assist individuals in achieving optimal health. Her passion roots from a family history of diabetes and heart disease, which has driven her to become a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, obtain her Certificate in Obesity and Weight Management and become a Certified Trauma Specialist in Nutrition and Integrative Care. With her own struggles with weight due to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), she is very compassionate and understanding with her client’s needs and struggles. She has experience working in weight management and weight loss resistance due to hormonal imbalances, and improving mental health including depression and anxiety through nutrition and lifestyle.

Casey Flowers MS, RD, LDN (Awards and Honors Coordinator) is an outpatient dietitian at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA.  For the last 8 years, Casey has committed herself to the promotion of health equity and providing nutrition intervention for patients in multiple disciplines with a primary focus in weight management. She has been the Nutrition Co-Director for the ASMBS nutrition preconference session for the last 2 years and is the 2023 recipient of the ASMBS Excellence in Nutrition award.  

Jessica Bluto, MS, RD, CCSOWM, CDCES (Awards and Honors Assistant Coordinator) My name is Jessica Bluto, MS, RDN, LD, CDCES, CSOWM and I have over 14 years of experience as a dietitian. I have worked in many different facets of nutrition. I live in New Mexico where I previously served on the affiliates board of directors. I am originally from the Hudson Valley in New York state. I have my BS in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island and my MS in Nutrition Communication from Tufts University in Boston.

  Molly Wangsgaard, MS, RDN, LD, NSCA-CPT, CHWC ( Volunteer Coordinator) works for Premise Health as a Wellness Supervisor at a corporate health center and has a small private practice. She received BS degrees in Human Nutrition and Kinesiology from Kansas State University and an MS degree in Nutrition in Sport and Chronic Disease from Virginia Tech before completing her dietetic internship at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Molly has volunteered for the WM DPG over the years by serving as Newsletter Editor and Secretary as well as on a handful of committees.

Public Policy & Advocacy

Stephanie Wagner, MS, RDN, LDN has specialized in bariatric surgery nutrition since 2009. In 2016, she transitioned her bariatric clinic role to full-time private practice where she concentrates on offering dedicated support and resources to patients online. In collaboration with her web developer husband, she has built the most extensive online bariatric nutrition library and welcomed over 6500 post-op patients to her Premier Access Membership over the past decade. Steph holds a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics and a Master's Degree in Food and Nutrition and is a member of professional organizations, including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Weight Management DPG, Nutrition Entrepreneurs, and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Her work has been featured in publications such as Baritastic, Celebrate Vitamins, and Obesity Help. 

 


Sara Peidle, MS, RD, CD, FAND (Nutrition Services Payment Specialist) has been a dietitian since 2006 when she completed her coordinated bachelorette from Youngstown State.  She started her career as an inpatient dietitian in El Paso, TX where she also worked in Renal nutrition. In 2015 she's moved to Utah where she is a dietitian for the Salt Lake City VHA. She has served on the TX and Utah Academy as State Regulatory Specialist and is now the Nutrition Services Payment Specialist. 

Virtual Symposium
Tracy L. Oliver, Ph.D., RDN, LDN (Virtual Symposium Chair) is an Associate Professor in the M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing at Villanova University. She earned her B.S. in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh, and both her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees are from Temple University in the field of Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. Tracy has previously worked at The University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Weight and Eating Disorders and Temple University’s Center for Obesity Research and Education in the areas of weight management and behavior modification. Tracy has served on the WM DPG’s leadership team for the past nine years in various roles including Weight Management in the News Coordinator, CPEU newsletter Editor, Chair-Elect and Chair.
