Oct 09, 2025 07:36 PM

Date: May 21, 2025

Speaker: Annette Maggi, MS, RDN, LD, FAND

This presentation explores the evolving landscape of food production, and the interplay of consumer demand, production considerations, and agriculture innovation across the food supply chain. Attendees will gain insight into topics such as the nuances differentiating “regulatory science” from traditional science evaluation, state-level ingredient bans that exceed federal regulations, and front-of-package labeling as a proxy for ultra-processed food consumption guidance, highlighting both their intended benefits and the unintended. The session will also emphasize the critical role dietitians play in navigating this complex system. By the end, participants will be equipped to inform, increase awareness, and drive meaningful action across all sectors of the food supply chain.
