The Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics is the accrediting agency for education programs preparing students for careers as registered dietitian nutritionists or nutrition and dietetics technicians, registered. ACEND® serves and protects students and the public by assuring the quality and continued improvement of nutrition and dietetics education programs. ACEND® meets national standards and is an authority on the quality of nutrition and dietetics education programs.

Dietetic Practice Groups
Post bachelor’s — at least 1,000 hours of supervised practice only for RDN eligibility (must complete DPD and at least a bachelor’s degree before entry). Some programs offer a graduate degree in conjunction with supervised practice.
The Career Starter Dues Program offers reduced dues rates for members in their first five years of Active category membership eligibility. The first year of membership dues is $70.

NEP DPG is looking for student volunteers on committees. Students cannot hold an elected position but may be appointed to various committees such as social media, continuing education, fundraising and more.
