At the October 23rd House of Delegates meeting, members from the Council on Future Practice (CFP) presented an overview of declining trust as a driver of change to the profession. You can view the CFP presentation here.
Delegates engaged in small group discussions on declining trust within the nutrition and dietetics profession and across the broader public landscape. Delegates emphasized the opportunity for the Academy to lead efforts that build public trust in science and evidence-based nutrition. The Board will use this feedback to explore innovative strategies in the new Strategic Plan that elevates the Academy's voice and counter misinformation with credibility and connection. See attached to read a complete summary of the discussion.
Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks!
