The House of Delegates met on June 17, 2025, hearing presentations from members of the Council on Future Practice on ten key topics shaping the future of our profession, including changing science, declining public trust, and mental health support. Delegates explored challenges and opportunities across areas such as climate change, healthcare disruption, higher education, communication strategies, organizational ethics, and the evolving expectations of Gen Z professionals. Common themes included the need for proactive adaptation, increased transparency, expanded roles for RDNs, and a focus on equity, innovation, and workforce sustainability. Delegates will be ranking these topics soon to determine needs for future discussions which will lead to generative discussions at the Academy Board level to determine impact on implementation of the new strategic plan.
