Most of my patients are 55+ so I want to earn my CSG credential. My work is with outpatients, living in their own homes or in an assisted living facility and being treated in our cardiology clinic.

I am considering taking Becky Dorne's 12-credit course about how to use the Resident Assessment Instruments. It's also been a long time since getting certified by ServSafe. Are either or both of these courses recommended to help pass the CSG exam?

I've reviewed the DPG's toolkit, am studying materials from the resource listbut am thinking more in-depth study is needed. What advice do you have? Thanks.

I haven't taken the exam yet (waiting until my next 5 year cycle) but I found the HA/DHCC DPG materials very helpful. I got the flashcards and the 4 part video series. And the new 4th Edition of Nutrition Care for the Older Adult is great. I feel prepared. I don't know details about that Becky Dorner series but if it's focused only on RAI/MDS stuff, it might be overkill?  You can get comprehensive info on that aspect from Dietitians on Demand free LTC Toolkit.  ServSafe Manager is a good way to go for rounding it all out.
