    Pancreatic Enzyme Replacement in the Oncology Patient

    Objectives: Explain the causes and pathophysiology of pancreatic insufficiency Discuss the signs and symptoms of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI)​ Select appropriate dosing for pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT)​ Review dietitian role in interdisciplinary team for identifying and treating EPI Speaker: Andreanna Kinnart, MS, RDN, LDN, CNSC, CSO Andreanna Kinnart is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with Specialist certifications in both Oncology Nutrition and Nutrition Support. She has over nine years of experience providing clinical nutrition care in both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings. Currently, Andreanna is an RDN in the Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center, and provides individualized nutrition interventions for patients with gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers. Her work includes management of enteral nutrition regimens, pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy, and patient-centered counseling to address nutrition impact symptoms during treatment. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Andreanna coordinates intern schedules and precepts Clinical Nutrition students during their Outpatient Oncology rotations.
