I'm a re-entry student who is motivated to obtain a dietetic internship. After passing the CDR exam, I hope to find employment in oncology. In Sept. 2021, I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. My cancer required a hysterectomy and a salpingo-oophorectomy but no additional treatment. I understand how fortunate I am. I have previously lost my father and stepmother both to cancer, It is now my husband's father who is currently fighting esophageal cancer, and I greatly wish I could help with his nutrition. I am eager to learn more about oncology nutrition and eventually acquire the necessary hours to test for my CSO.
