PNPG Education Scholarship
The PNPG Education Scholarship was created to support the continuing education of PNPG members. Each year, the scholarship will provide 4 members (2 in the fall and 2 in the spring) with funding to support attendance to pediatric-specific professional development of their choice. The scholarships will be distributed as a reimbursement of event registration and travel expenses, up to $750.
Who is Eligible:
- Candidate must be a member of PNPG for at least 2 consecutive years prior to applying for a scholarship. Exempt members include PNPG Executive Committee members, student members, and scholarship awardees within the past 5 years.
- Continuing education event must be related to pediatric nutrition and includes, but is not limited to, conferences, symposiums, and web-based certification and training programs.
- Preference will be given to applications for attendance at the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo and PNPG's Pediatric Nutrition Symposium.
Application Requirements:
- Applicant's contact information
- Title and date of educational event
- Outline of event expenses including registration fee and anticipated travel costs
- Resume or CV (may include volunteer and unpaid experience)
- Original essay (up to 400 words) explaining how the chosen educational event will help meet the applicant's professional goals
- Acknowledgement that if selected to receive, the applicant will compose a short (~200-word) summary of the educational event to be used for the PNPG website, e-blast, and/or social media platforms
- Acknowledgement that the applicant has not received outside funding for the selected educational event at the time of application; and agreement that if outside funding is provided, the applicant will notify PNPG chair via email for application to be removed from the selection process.
