DPG46 Food and Culinary Professionals (FCP)

Greetings, my name is Sarah Lederman, and I am an undergraduate nutrition student and intern for RD2BE. We are reaching out to you regarding the growth of our Mentorship Program, a free 5-week program with the goal of pairing nutrition students and registered dietitians together for mentorship, professional development, and networking. It is a remote volunteer opportunity where mentors dedicate 30-60 minutes a week mentoring a dietetics student over the 5-week program period. We provide a packet outlining weekly topic ideas, so all mentors have to do is share their unique insights with the student!

The future of the profession is bright, and we believe this program can help increase the diversity, opportunity, and access for students pursuing the RD credential. The growth of our program depends entirely on the willingness of RDs to volunteer their time in the program to meet our high demand of students. The commitment is small, but the impact is incredible.
