  • 1.  FYI - NEW Academy Program - NUTRITION FACT CHECK

    Posted 08-21-2025 09:10 AM

Yesterday, the Academy announced the launch of a new program from its Research and Policy teams called "Nutrition Fact Check."  The program is designed to help "sift through the noise and open more doors for practitioners to be heard by decision-makers and consumers."  It will focus on hot topics and provide evidence and professional materials for nutrition practitioners to share. The program is designed to amplify our voices and ensure that more evidence-based nutrition and health information continues to inform policy, media narratives, and consumer choices.

The Academy will be hosting a Coffee Chat on August 28th from 12 - 12:45 CT, which will provide an overview of the program and how to get involved. To learn more and join the Coffee Chat, register here: REGISTER HERE

Thank you for sharing this Laura, we reviewed the resources last night during our House of Delegates Meeting.  I am going to include the web address as it as it can be a bit buried in the Academy Website:  https://www.eatrightpro.org/nutritionfactcheck?_zs=vcuEa&_zl=NLcd4

These hot button topics directly to our food and culinary work including food dyes, seed oils, and ultra processed foods.  I highly encourage our members to review them.   If anyone has input on these new resources please reach out and I am happy to pass on any feedback.
