  • Empathetic Nutrition Counseling for the Disability Community - Ethics Credit

    Nutrition professionals can showcase how to accommodate clients with disabilities in an empathetic way. The session will explain the challenges and triumphs of people with disabilities. Attendees will learn about health data for the disability community, adaptive cooking, adaptive fitness, and counseling best practices.

    Speaker: Tracy Williams, BS

    Tracy Williams holds a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Dominican University and brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. She lives with moderate cerebral, acquired hydrocephalus and other chronic conditions. She has built a career as a freelance writer, public speaker, and advocate. Tracy’s work focuses on disability advocacy, food access, and mental health. She has presented to schools, community organizations, and professional audiences across the country. Tracy Williams is also the creator of a continuing education webinar on empathetic nutrition counseling for the disability community and is deeply committed to community service through her local church food pantry and advocacy work.
