    Have you thought about becoming involved in the VN DPG?

    Know a VN DPG member who is downright awesome?

    The VN DPG Executive Board is planning for our future and we need your assistance! Get involved in promoting vegetarian nutrition expertise to fellow RD’s, other professionals and consumers.

    VN DPG Leadership Requires:

    • Deep passion and interest in promoting vegetarian diets for health.
    • Great organizational skills
    • Ability to communicate professionally
    • Computer and software skills
    • Interest in developing programs within VN that support our mission as the leading authority on vegetarian diets using evidence-based research to plan all types of vegetarian meals.
    • Current Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics members in the Active Practitioner category.

    Chair-Elect

    • One year term as Chair-Elect, second year term as Chair, and third year term as Past-Chair
    • Assists Chair and works with Executive Committee
    • Performs functions of Chair as needed, or in Chair’s absence
    • Appoints chairs of committees
    • Helps plan FNCE events
    • Chair-Elect nominations need to have held a prior position with VN DPG.
    • Time Commitment: 5-7 hours per week

    Treasurer

    • The Treasurer serves for two years.
    • Serves as a member of the Executive Committee
    • Advises the Executive Committee in the preparation of the annual budget
    • Manages the accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Performs other duties as specified in the current job description or as designated by the Executive Committee
    • Time Commitment: 4-5 hours per week

    Nominating Committee

    • This is a 3-year term.
    • Oversee recruitment and selection process of elected officers.
    • Submit ballots to Academy
    • Network with members about job descriptions for each position
    • Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week

    • Improve on your skills as an evidence-based RD
    • Develop programs for VN DPG
