The Academy encourages inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA) by striving to recognize, respect and include differences in ability, age, creed, culture, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, size, and socioeconomic characteristics in the nutrition and dietetics profession.
VNDPG's Diversity Team is excited to launch Culture Cuisine Plates! As part of the Academy's Diversity Grant, we reached out to authors and reviewers and were able to create handouts for four different cultures and cuisines. We are thrilled to be launching the first one in the series - the Latin Plate! Please be on the lookout for the next three handouts on African, East Asian, and Indian Cultures.
