Webinar Description This webinar will provide attendees with an introduction to the United Nations (UN) SustainableDevelopment Goal Zero Hunger (UN SDG #2), including its different targets and indicators. Anoutline for a proposed course on Zero Hunger will be discussed, and participant feedback will berequested. The proposed course on Zero Hunger will allow students to explore both theoreticaland practical approaches to ending hunger, achieving food security and improved nutrition, andpromoting sustainable agriculture. The proposed course will be highly interactive andparticipatory. Teaching strategies include critical reflection on real-world case studies and twocourse projects, consisting of organizing a solidarity campaign to achieve Zero Hunger (launchedon World Food Day, October 16, 2026) and hosting an Oxfam Hunger Banquet. A final projectwill require students to work in small groups to develop a Zero Hunger roadmap for a city, state,or country applying a right to adequate food and nutrition framework.
