Key Takeaways: This study investigates how school-based nutrition interventions affect parents and other families. This study is a peer-reviewed study with 22 studies. Studies were mixed with dietary intake; 15 studies were evaluated, and only 6 were favorable to parents or other diets. 10 studies examined nutrition knowledge, and most showed improvements in parents' nutrition knowledge. Only two studies looked at parent health outcomes, and both reported positive health outcomes. Overall dietary behavior and nutrition health outcomes are less consistent while it does show promise in improving nutrition knowledge.
