Key Takeaways: Overall, among both males and females, students who experienced persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness were more likely to skip breakfast daily. This association between feelings of sadness or hopelessness and skipping breakfast was generally consistent across racial and ethnic groups. In contrast, higher levels of school connectedness and earning mostly As or Bs were inversely associated with skipping breakfast.
