The study analyzed 6,495 children and determined whether receiving school breakfast was associated with changes in obesity status between the 5th and 8th grades. The study concluded that most children's school breakfast receipt was not independently related to obesity. However, children from lower-income families may be associated, receive school breakfast may be associated with an increased risk of obesity.
