Key Takeaways: Universal Meal Programs were created to lessen food insecurity for children in low-income communities. This cross-sectional study aims to answer what the effects of Universal Meal Program (UMP) are in terms of food security and participation of meals. Overall, the middle class with UMP and the involvement of meals were less likely to experience food insecurity than those without UMP. With this conclusion, UMP can be a potential strategy to mitigate food insecurity among those who might not meet federal program requirements.
