    Hi!!

I'm new to Nashville and will be hanging around Tennessee for a bit over a week. I'd love some recommendations for places to check out-both downtown and beyond. I really enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or spending time in parks, so any hidden gems or less touristy spots would be awesome. Also, if you know any good vegetarian-friendly restaurants or places for brunch, definitely let me know!

    Thank you!!

    Hi Nicolle!

Nice to hear you are visiting Nashville for the first time! I recommend looking at these websites for the most updated attractions:

    https://www.visitmusiccity.com/

    https://www.nashville.com/

Also, I can't speak to any specific place, but the Happy Cow website/app is the best place to look for vegan and vegetarian places. You could also search in the Nashville or Visiting Nashville subReddits. And then there's always Trip Advisor.

    See you soon!

    Hey there,
I am not from TN but talked to a couple of different people from there on my cruise last week. Some tips I got were:

    • Cheekwood Botanical Gardens - might be decorated for Halloween
    • The Ryman Theater is said to be the site of the original Grand Ol Opry - tours available and also current music shows. Charley Pride has a statue here.
    • Gaylord Opryland Resort is next to the (current) Grand Ol Opry and is a stunning hotel with park-like features on the inside. One woman I spoke to raved about this.
    • Belle Meade, Hermitage neighborhood tours were mentioned.
    • Country Music Hall of Fame Museum is right next to our convention
    • I was told there are no shortage of beautiful hiking trails around Nashville

Hope that helps! I'll probably try to do a couple of these myself. The Ryman and Country Music Hall of Fame Museum are both close to our convention at Music City Center. The others look like they'd need some transportation. I like using tours sometimes, and I saw Viator has several: https://www.viator.com/Nashville/d799-ttd

    See you at FNCE!

Thanks so much for the recommendations - I'm writing them all down! I'm hoping to visit most of them. I also heard that the Fall Tennessee Craft Fair will be happening at Centennial Park, so I'm planning to check that out too. Super excited to attend FNCE and hopefully meet you all. If you see me around, don't be afraid to say hi!
