Bio

Katy completed her bachelors in dietetics and minor in biochemistry at the University of Arizona working under her professors to assist teaching introductory level nutrition courses and culinary nutrition courses. She then completed her Master of Public Health with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Health Education with certificates in Clinical Nutrition and Culinary Nutrition along with her dietetic internship at The University of Texas Health Science Center. There she taught in the culinary nutrition courses to community members, children, and health professional graduate and doctor students. She completed her rotations within Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world and completed a fellowship in neonatal nutrition at Baylor College of Medicine. She now works as a Registered Dietitian specializing in eating disorders working with adolescents and adults with co-occurring mental health and physical co-morbidities. Special interests include HAES, Intuitive Eating, sports nutrition, pre-natal and peri-natal nutrition, neonatal nutriton, and pediatric nutrition.
